Welcome to Attached Counselling and Psychotherapy
Supporting You Towards Healing, Growth, and Self-Discovery
My name is Jon, founder of Attached Counselling and Psychotherapy and I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can explore life’s challenges at your own pace. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, relationship difficulties, or feeling overwhelmed, I am here to support you.
With over 10 years of experience working in community substance misuse and mental health services. I understand the complexities of emotional distress and the value of compassionate, person-centred care. This professional background is supported by a Master’s degree (MSc) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and registration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), ensuring ethical and evidence-based practice.
My approach is integrative, meaning therapy is tailored to your unique needs. I draw from a range of therapeutic models: including person-centred therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and compassion-focused approaches – allowing me to work flexibly and collaboratively at a pace that suits you.
You don’t have to go through it alone — healing starts here.
I believe that healing begins in a safe space where you feel truly heard and accepted. Together, we’ll work to make sense of your experiences, build resilience, and support you in moving forward with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
